Abergavenny (Welsh: Y Fenni), meaning Mouth of the River Gavenny, is the 'Gateway To Wales’ – a market town in Monmouthshire, nestled between seven hills close to the Welsh/English border.
Our Abergavenny practice, with staff onsite 24 hours a day is the central hub of Abbey Veterinary Centres and the location of our out of hour services (shared with a second local practice in Abergavenny); in any emergency it is easily reached off the A40 from Brecon or A465 from Tredegar.
Our caring, professional and friendly staff will provide you and your pet with the best possible veterinary care from acute illness or accidents to a full preventative healthcare package.
With our prominent town location opposite the Esso Garage on Hereford Road backing onto the old cattle market site and our car park at the front you will find us easily accessible.
The surgery is open six days a week for appointments, pet care advice, pet foods, treats and accessories. We also run nurse clinics, many of which are free.
Operations and advanced diagnostics are carried out at Abergavenny using state of the art facilities that would be recognised from most human hospitals. Digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and on-site laboratory allow most procedures to be carried out in a single visit with same day results.
